Katie Bailey B.Pod. (Hons)
Katie graduated from Central Queensland University (Sydney) in 2018 with a bachelor of podiatry (honours).
The subject of her thesis covered patient perspectives of fungal toenail treatment.
Her final placement was rurally based at Mount Isa Hospital where she gained experience in diabetic foot-care and podiatric wound-care.
Katie has had an exposure to podiatry from a young age which initially sparked her interest in the profession.
Katie is experienced in using extra-corporeal shockwave therapy in the treatment of tendon issues and has witnessed the success that this treatment has in reducing pain and improving the healing speed of tendon concerns.
Areas of Expertise
She has a keen interest in all aspects of podiatry, including: general foot care and maintenance, biomechanics, ingrown toenails, kids sport, and diabetes foot health management.
Katie values finding a treatment program for her patients that complements their lifestyle.
