Podiatrist
Member of the Australian Podiatry Association.
My name is Leon and I graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2014 with a Bachelor of Podiatry. I have a keen interest in biomedical science as well as disease processes, in particular diabetes and its affect on the human body and lower limb complications. I completed training at Royal Melbourne Hospital in the high risk foot clinic where I could develop my wound management skills.
I have always been involved in sports including cricket, mountain biking, snowboarding, cycling, running, and I currently enjoy a weekly game of mixed netball.
Being fit and active has always been a high priority, and I am proud to have completed several half marathons.
As I am particularly interested in biomechanics and pathological gait characteristics, I regularly find myself mid run, diagnosing (perceived) pathology and prescribing stretches, exercise and orthotic therapy to my fellow competitors!
I rise to the challenge of problematic feet and enjoy when I can help someone who has been struggling with aches and pains for a long time
Regards
Leon Hubbard
